As an aging athlete, you wonder where all the other older players have gone. It does become more difficult to play younger players because you see the difference in the way you play and they play. So, I started a Pickleball Southwest Region Women’s Legends 70+4.0+ social group to bring the better and older women together in a fun round robin. Our group is sponsored by the USSP, a senior pickleball governing body.  My group is from Arizona, Palm Springs, and Southern California. We had our first get-together in September at the Barnes Center in San Diego. Everyone commented about how much fun they actually had. We even had a Saturday night dinner party. Our next event will be in Palm Desert, January 7 and 8, 2026.  

There is a Mid-Atlantic group on the East Coast that I connected with that started a year before my group.  They were so helpful with their insight.  Hopefully, other areas in the country will put together their groups.
